The Spider-man series is in dire need of a few good villians. The Sandman was terrific but was ruined by the inclusion of too complicated a modern villian. Villians should be simple but extremely dangerous. My suggestion is that the next Spider-man movie showcase the villian called the Scorpion.

Spider man has always hated other insects. One of the most powerful is the Scorpion. However scale is important in providing a villian. The first Spider-man had correct scale in both size and covering the origins of both hero and villian. The Goblin also had a perfect back story which allowed the director to make a real film instead of just a slugfest. No one really knew who Doc Oc was, and those things made it really not matter.
